Ordering

When using algebra it is always important to put things in logical order. Here are some activities where you have to put a collection of statements in the correct logical order. You do this by using the mouse to drag statements up or down.

On each page you will find a gauge on the right which displays how close you are to getting the correct order . A score of 1 means perfect, 0 means your order is nothing like the true order, and -1 means you have put things in exactly the reverse order!
[This measure is known in statistics as the correlation coefficient.]

Substituting linear 1 2 3
with squaring 1 2 3 4 5
Simplifying 1 2 3
Solving equations linear - 2 steps 1 2 3
linear - 3 steps 4 5
linear - x on both sides 6 7 8 9 10 11
quadratic 1 2 3
simultaneous 1 2 3 4 5
Proof the square root of 2 is irrational
